Wika Salim, Full Name: Wika Febrina Putr is an Indonesian actress, singer dangdut berkebangsaan who was born in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia on 26th February 1992.
Her father, Agus Salim is a guitarist dangdut orchestra, while her mother, Mujiarti is a singer of dangdut when young. But unfortunately, the family of Wika Salim lives in simplicity.
Wika Salim in her childhood lived in a village and claimed to had a very simple house. Even Wika Salim’s house was not attached with a bathroom.
Armed with an extraordinary desire to make her parents happy, Wika Salim began to plunge into the world of singing. Her career began by auditioning for a talent search program that was broadcast live by a private television station in 2008. At that time, Wika was 16 years old.
After participating in a talent search event at the age of 16, Wika Salim joined the dangdut vocal group Trio Vocal, which managed to release 3 singles. Then in 2013, Wika Salim returned to a solo career in the world of national dangdut music.
Besides being a dangdut singer, Wika Salim is also known as an artist who has starred in several soap operas. Among them are Pengen Jadi Orang Bener, ABG Jadi Manten, Bidadari Takut Jatuh Cinta, and Emak Ijah Pengen Ke Mekah.
Not only soap operas, but Wika Salim had also starred in several FTV films, such as Bekal Menuju Surga, Calon Calon Mertua, Azab Biduan Gerobak Dangdut (2014) sebagai Siska, Antara Rocker & Dangduter, Azab Juragan Bajaj Bakhil, etc.
Then after playing roles on film, Wika Salim also got the opportunity to become a presenter and fill events on several private TV channels such as Eat Bulaga Indonesia (2013) (SCTV), Carnaval SCTV (2013) (SCTV), I Like This (2014), Goyang Pagi Pagi (2015) (MNCTV), Inbox (SCTV), etc.
Wika Salim is known to have been married to Chandra Permana around 2016, or at the age of 24 years of Wika Salim. You could say, Wika and Chandra deliberately covered up their marriage. Even on the morning of getting married, in the evening Wika immediately appeared live on an event broadcast by one of the tv serials.
But unfortunately, the marriage did not last long, because, in May 2018, Wika Salim and Chandra Permana officially divorced. Previously, Chandra Permana was the manager and composed almost all of Wika Salim’s singles.
