Rules of success from Arnold Schwarzenegger: 6 rules

Arnold Schwarzenegger shares his rules of success that he applies to his life.

People ask me all the time: what is the secret to success?

Rules of Success No. 1. Believe in yourself

I mean, a lot of young people get a lot of advice from their parents, teachers and everyone.

But the most important thing is to find out what you really want. Ask yourself: who do you want to be? Not what, but who do you want to be?

I’m not saying what you want and who you see your parents and teachers. I’m talking about your desire. I’m talking about asking yourself what will make you happy. No matter how insane it may seem to other people.

So, rule number 1 is, of course, to believe in yourself. And no matter what others might think.

Rule of Success No. 2. Break the Rules

We have so many rules in all spheres of life. I say break the rules, not the law but the rules.

It is impossible to be fully an individual or of original identity if you’re too correct and don’t want to break the rules. You have to think open, free from the stereotypes of mind.

The only way in all my cases was to violate certain rules.

Rule of Success No. 3. Don’t be afraid to fail

Every time I did something, I was ready to accept defeat.

You cannot always win, but don’t be afraid to make decisions. You cannot be paralyzed from the fear of failure, otherwise, you’ll never get ahead.

You continue to move forward because you believe in yourself, in your vision. You know that you are doing everything right. Success will come, so don’t be afraid to fail.

Rule of Success No. 4. Don’t Listen to Pessimists

How many times have you heard that this can’t be done, no one has done this yet.

I love it when someone says, “No one has done this yet,” because when I do this, it means that I am the first one to do it.

Therefore, don’t pay attention to people who say that something is impossible.

I never listen to “You can’t do this”, I always listen to myself and say “Yes, I can!”

And that leads me to the next rule, which is the most important of them.

Rule of Success No. 5. Work Hard

You don’t want to fail because you did not work hard enough. I always worked to the maximum.

Mohammed Ali was once asked: “How many repetitions do you do when you do crunches?”. He replied: “I do not consider repetition. I think only when it hurts, when I feel pain. That’s when I start counting because that’s the only time it really has value.”

That’s what makes you Champions. That’s what it’s all about: no pain, no growth.

I learned a lot from those that I apply in life from sports, and especially this one.

And let me say that the fun in the life of course important. But when you say, have fun at the party, resting, someone out there at the same time is working hard someone is getting smarter and someone is winning. Just remember this.

So, if you want to just go with the flow, do not pay attention to these rules, but if you want to win, there is no more way but hard work.

Not one of my success rules will work until you take action.

I always understood that I have 24 hours in a day. You sleep for 6 hours and you have 18 hours left.

I know that some of you will say: “Wait a minute, I sleep 8 or 9 hours.”

Well then, I would recommend you spend less time sleeping because you only need to sleep for 6 hours. Then you will have 18 hours, and during this time you will have time to do a lot.

Rule of Success No. 6. Give Something, Share

Whatever you do or was the path in life you should always find time to give something back to your community or your country.

Get a mirror that makes you admire yourself, and you can see what is happening behind it. You will see that millions of people need your help.

Let me say that helping people bring you more satisfaction than anything else you have ever done.

Since you are ready to enter the world, remember these 6 rules:

  1. To believe in yourself.
  2. To break some rules.
  3. Don’t be afraid to fail.
  4. Ignore the pessimists.
  5. To work harder.
  6. And give something back.

I didn’t want to be just a bodybuilding champion. I wanted to be the best bodybuilder of all time!
