The Finnish company pleased its fans with a new budget model. The smartphone Nokia 1 was announced at the exhibition MWC 2018, which was held in Barcelona. The original price of the novelty is 85 dollars. The release date is set for April. What should we expect from a cheap touch phone made by the famous Nokia company? Let’s consider in detail.

Review of Nokia 1

The dimensions and weight of the gadget are small – 133.6 × 67.8 × 9.5 mm and 131 grams. Thanks to this, it lies freely in your hand and fits in your trouser pocket. The case is made of durable polycarbonate protection according to IP52 – from dust and vertical drops. That is, there is no full water resistance. The back cover is removable – change the panels to suit your style, taste, and mood. Stock options are only two: red and blue. The color range of additional rear covers, which can be purchased and installed independently, is much richer: gray, azure, pink and yellow.

The phone has a “fresh” Android 8.1 Oreo (version of Go). It is adapted to work with budget models: utilities open without delays, the animation in the interface is smooth, there are no hidden and unnecessary processes. Thanks to this Nokia 1 shows a good autonomy – up to 360 hours in standby mode. Among the pre-installed applications, there is everything you need: WhatsApp, Facebook, Play Store, Google Maps, and others. For fans of video and broadcasts, there is a special video player on YouTube Go, which works much faster and consumes less traffic. Through it, you can not only watch videos online but also download them to a flash card.

conclusions

Judging by the technical data, Nokia 1 is designed for multimedia and surfing the Internet. For demanding games, its resources will not be enough (unless on the minimum graphics settings). If you need a reliable and inexpensive gadget for listening to music, watching movies, communicating in social networks, then safely buy Nokia 1.
