“Ok” is the most frequently used word in the world. But where did it come from?
In 1939, in the Boston newspaper, the intellectual jokers wrote a joke that the word “ok” should be used as an abbreviation of the phrase “oll korrect”, which in turn means illiterately written, “all correct” (“ o-l-l k-o-r-r-e-c-t,” ). “All correct” in those days was in use even more popular than “all right”.
By the way, technically “ok” was the first word spoken on the moon.
