Love is beautiful and it sometimes brings together even the most improbable candidates who notice they have genuine affection and fondness for each other. Yet, love is undoubtedly fragile, as people who used to love each other so much before may later hardly stay together in the same room or even maintain civility towards each other. This raises the question of what are the most important things to know and understand about love.

  • ALLOW YOUR PARTNER THEIR SPACE

Some people do not learn how to allow their partners space even when within a relationship. They cuddle and straddle their partners until their partners get choked on their love, sometimes leading to a situation where the partners try to break the relationships due to this suffocation. Althoughyou want to be with your partner all the time, never allow insecurity to get the best of you and so you should give your partner their own space. Allow them to retain their individuality while being fully active and present in your life. Do not try to choke your partner with love, as it causes resentment.

  • UNDERSTAND AND APPRECIATE THE DIFFRENCES BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN

Some people, no matter how long they have been in a relationship, do not understand or appreciate that men and women are different. This causes a lot of friction between the individuals involved in a relationship. Women are emotional in nature and they respond to what they are told as well as how their partners touch, hold and generally make them feel loved. Men, on the other hand, respond to what they see; i.e., they want a woman who can turn them on and they do not want to be denied sex except for very cogent reasons.

  • DO NOT BE SELFISH

Many people do not seem to last with their partners for long due to the fact that they are selfish, and they think only about themselves and what they can gain from their partners. Love is not selfish and it always seeks what to give but not what to get. This makes it important for people who are in love to sacrifice both themselves as well as their worldly possessions.

  • BE PATIENT WITH YOUR PARTNER

Lastly, you must learn to be patient with your partner. A refusal to be patient by any of the partners and a refusal to tolerate the excesses of a partner mean that the relationship will certainly not last for a long time.
