India has more than 7081 engineering colleges spread in all direction throughout the country, India is one of the largest producers of engineers every year. But there is a growing unemployment rate for the engineers who pass out every year, it is not just because India is a developing nation and it cannot accommodate a large number of students graduating every year. IIT situated in Chennai stands first in the quality of students, curriculum, and infrastructure. Every IIT act as an autonomous university forming their curricula.
IIT Mumbai bags second position, out of 23 IITs spread in the country there are only 11000 students get a chance to study at IIT. So rush, there are 150,000 others are trying for a similar seat that you need.
IIT situated at Kharagpur has the third position at national level ranking. Each IIT offers not only engineering but science subjects too.
IIT at Delhi stands at 4 the position. The IITs have a status of being the institutions with national importance and you can bag a seat there, by qualifying JEE conducted by Central Board, Delhi.
IIT Kanpur is in 5thposition. IITs offer undergraduates, postgraduates and Ph.D. programs taking in students through various entrance examinations such as GATE, JAM, CEED etc.
ANNA UNIVERSITY, CHENNAI
Anna University, Chennai bags 6th position. It has one of the largest campuses spread all over Tamil Nadu with large no: of colleges.
VIT Vellore has the 7thposition. It has got ABET Accreditation and good reputation.
UNIVERSITY OF DELHI
Delhi Technological University has 8th ranking. It was formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering.
NIT Tiruchirapalli has 9 the rank. National Institute of Technologyis premier colleges of engineering and technology in India.
NIT Rourkela bags 10th rank in India. There are currently 30 NITS in India and they used to take in students using AIEEE entrance exam which is now replaced by JEE.
There have been so many reasons behind the unemployment and the main thing would be standard of the engineers passing out, the no: of campus placements and most important ranking of the college. There is hardly an initial complaining about unemployement.that is always because the companies absorb students from the colleges which has highest ranking. These ranking are being done with the quality of the engineers created and the quality of the curriculum as well as teaching standard according to which the above colleges are ranked.
